I was fortunate enough to meet Giorgia Salerno of Signoraginni this past spring when she was in the U.S. and received a full report from my SelectioNaturel liaison Eric, who just spent a week with her touring the southeast. She worked with Mentor-to-many Danilo Marcucci before breaking out on her own and leasing some pretty derelict vineyards in Cortona.

Her wines are imbued with her upbeat, friendly spirit and tend to jump out of the glass and quench your thirst quickly. Her “slogan” is “en donna veritas,” meaning “in women there is truth,” and each wine she makes is named for a woman/femme that inspires her and her project.
